Decatur Elks Spring Event
Jan was a Decatur resident and an active, valued member of the Decatur Elks. Jan loved and never missed a party. She did not start golfing until she was 65 but then played regularly for the next twenty years. Sadly, we lost Jan in October 2020 at the age of 88. In her memory and in support of Elks 993, we are having this Second Annual event. The fun, social event is designed for players of any skill level, including beginner, non-golfers. Need not be an Elks member to play.
Golf Location: Cross Creek Golf Club – Majorki 9 Course
- Meal Location: Decatur Elks Lodge 993
- Date: Sunday, May 15, 2022
- Tee Times: 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM
- Format: Nine (9) hole Texas Scramble – four person teams
- Teams: Set your own foursome or submit your name(s) to be added to a team
- Sign-up: at the Elks Lodge or at Cross Creek Golf Club
- Hole Prizes: Select holes will feature contests for men & women
- First Prize: Team recorded on a Memorial Plaque for permanent display at the Elks plus a Bottle of Jan’s Favorite Libation
- Cost: $25 per player plus $20 greens fees (or plus $29 greens fee with cart)
- Cross Creek Golf Club memberships do apply toward greens and/or cart fees
- $25 includes meal & a drink chip
- $10: skip golf but join the Elks in Jan’s memory for a meal, with drink chip. Or, get “To Go” Carry Out
- Meal: Mexican theme – chips & salsa, guacamole, Spanish rice, refried beans, Nacho bar, enchiladas or burritos, dips, dessert
- Donations: Donations to the Elks Lodge in Jan’s memory are welcome.
