The Adams County Cup is an annual Ryder Cup style competition between Cross Creek Golf Club and Wabash Valley Golf Club. It has been held every year in early October since 1998. Cross Creek has won the annual competition in all but 4 years of the event. The current format is 6 matches of 6 holes each in 2-man Scramble, Better-Ball and Modified Alternate Shot, and twelve (12) 9 hole singles matches. The host for this year will be Wabash Valley on October 9, starting at 9 AM. Spectators are welcomed and encouraged, and there is no cost. Playing for Cross Creek this year are Captain, the Honorable Dan Rickord, Luke Ainsworth, Grant Ainsworth, Alex Ainsworth, Mike Ainsworth, Bob Goulet, Scott Ainsworth, Ty Razo, Todd Kiser, Dane Fuelling, Tom Krueckeberg, Randy Colclasure, Dale Manis, and Jim Manley. Cross Creek is the defending champion, so Wabash Valley will need 15.5 of a possible 30 points to claim the travelling trophy. Annually the Cross Creek team awards the Jim Daniels Memorial MVP award, to honor our fallen teammate who was the initial year MVP.
