Welcome to the Cross Creek interactive community.
Decatur’s Cross Creek Housing Neighborhood wraps around a major portion of Cross Creek Golf Club’s Biggs Kreigh Course’s holes. Cross Creek Golf Club wants to be a superior neighbor to all Cross Creek Home Owners. We want to engage with all property owners under conditions of friendship and mutual respect. The hope of Cross Creek Golf Club is that many of our neighboring residents will chose to become members of our club. Even for neighborhood residents that do not play golf, we want them to enjoy the relaxed, inviting atmosphere afforded by living adjacent to the well-manicured green spaces of Cross Creek Golf Club.
Shared below are contact information for the Cross Creek Home Owner’s Association as well as Cross Creek Golf Club.
Additionally, Cross Creek Golf Club and the Cross Creek Home Owner’s Association have jointly developed answers to a number of frequently asked questions (FAQ) from our resident neighbors. These are shown below.
Q: As a home owner in Cross Creek Residential, do we get free golf at Cross Creek Golf Club?
A: Cross Creek Golf Club is a separate business entity from the Cross Creek Residential Community. Being a Cross Creek Residential home owner does not afford free golf privileges.
Q: As a home owner, how do I play at Cross Creek Golf Club?
A: Cross Creek Golf Club offers a variety of payment methods for playing golf on our Nine Hole Majorki Course or our Eighteen Hole Biggs – Kreigh Course. We offer various types of memberships; ten play cards or daily per round rates which are applicable to Cross Creek Residential property owners, residents of Decatur / Adams County as well as surrounding regions. This information is available on this website under the Rates tab. Please remember to always check-in with the Pro Shop prior to beginning play.
Q: What are the Cross Creek Golf Club Memberships and how do I learn more?
A: Current information concerning memberships can be found on this website under the Rates / Membership tab. We have Junior, College, Single, Couple, Family, Senior and Senior Couple membership options. Each summer we also sponsor a Junior Golf Camp for individuals 17 years old and younger. This Camp is divided into different age groups. Please see the Events / Junior Golf Camp page for more information. Additionally, Ms. Janeen Gerke, Cross Creek Golf Club Golf Logistics Administrator, can be contacted at 260-724-4316 to address all of your questions. You can also contact Janeen via e – mail via the “Contact” section of this website.
Q: What if I enjoy playing golf or want to learn but do not think I want a full membership?
A: Cross Creek Golf Club has weekday and weekend / holiday greens fees for the Majorki 9 hole course or the Biggs – Kreigh 18 hole course. The per play rates are offered walking (Majorki) or with a cart (Majorki or Biggs – Kreigh). These can be found under Rates / Daily Fees tab of this website. Lessons are also available on a limited basis. Call 260-724-4316 for more information.
Q: I like to golf more than occasionally but am not sure that I want to jump in with a full membership, does Cross Creek Golf Club offer other options?
A: Cross Creek Golf Club offers “Ten Play Cards” for either the Majorki 9 or the Biggs – Kreigh 18, which provide a discount to the daily per play rates. Either Ten Play Card includes greens’ fees and use of a cart. For further information, please check this website under Rates /Memberships for pricing of ten play cards.
Q: What if we just want to practice hitting some balls or putting, can we just go out on one of the Cross Creek Golf Club hole’s fairways or greens to practice?
A: No, use of the twenty seven holes of Cross Creek Golf Club is specifically for people that have paid to play. However, we do have practice areas (driving range and green) near the Pro Shop. We welcome you to come to the Pro Shop to use our practice green for putting or purchase a bucket of balls to practice your swing (on this site see Rates / Daily Fees).
Q: We have noticed that many of our neighbors own their own golf cart, if we have a golf cart can we drive this on the streets of Cross Creek Residential and on Cross Creek Golf Course?
A: The short answer to both questions is yes, however, with caveats.
- In order to drive your golf cart on the roads of Decatur, your cart must be street legal and have an annual inspection sticker from the Decatur Police Department. This is also necessary in order to drive your cart on the streets of Cross Creek, as all of our neighborhood streets are also City of Decatur streets. Please review the Decatur Police Department’s Golf Cart Rules https://decaturinpolice.com/assist-the-community/city-ordinances/golf-carts/
- In order to drive your golf cart on the paths of Cross Creek Golf Club, you must have paid and have displayed on your cart the annual (and current) Cross Creek Golf Club Trail Pass Sticker. This sticker also allows you to drive your cart on the Cross Creek Community streets, to access the golf course paths to get to the clubhouse and start your round of golf. Janeen Gerke, Cross Creek Golf Club Golf Logistics Administrator will do a quick inspection of all player owned carts prior to providing our Trail Pass Sticker. Please check this website’s Rates / Membership tab for Trail Pass or Double Eagle Cart Pass price options.
- All golf carts must have turf friendly tires.
Q: What is the cost of a Cross Creek Golf Club Trail Pass Sticker?
A: An annual Cross Creek Golf Club Trail Pass Sticker allows use of personal golf carts for all golf related activities at Cross Creek Golf Club. For 2021, an annual Trail Fee is $700, a Senior Trail Fee (60 or older) is $625 and a second cart Trail Fee is $200.
Q: I have or want to purchase a cart for use within the community, but I do not golf. However, I would like to drive my cart to and from the Double Eagle Clubhouse Grille, is this a problem?
A: The Double Eagle Clubhouse Grille shares the building with the Cross Creek Golf Club Pro Shop, however, they are separate business entities. Cross Creek Golf Club offers a ‘Double Eagle Cart Pass’ ($200 annually in 2021) that allows residents to use their cart on our paths to and from the Double Eagle. However, this Cart Pass is not valid for any golf related activities and requires that you move straight to and return from the Double Eagle Clubhouse Grille. Also, please be considerate of those who are playing golf while you are moving to and from the Double Eagle.
Q: We have a golf cart and children. Our kids enjoy driving our cart and we do not mind, as long as they are careful. Can they drive on Cross Creek Golf Club’s cart paths?
A. Use of the cart paths is only for those that have paid for and are playing golf. The paths of the golf course are not for recreational driving of golf carts or any other motorized vehicle. Children over the age of twelve (12) can drive a golf cart on the cart paths while playing golf. Children twelve (12) and under may drive a golf cart on the cart paths while playing golf only with adult supervision in the same cart. Please review the Decatur Police Department’s Golf Cart Rules https://decaturinpolice.com/assist-the-community/city-ordinances/golf-carts/
Q: We do not golf, but we enjoy being outside and getting exercise. Can we walk, bike, skate or otherwise make use of the cart paths of Cross Creek Golf Course?
A: We appreciate your desire to enjoy the beauty of the Cross Creek Golf Club while you stay fit. However, no, Cross Creek Golf Club is not open to the public for any activity other than golf. Please restrict your fitness activities to the sidewalks and streets of our beautiful Cross Creek Residential or to one of the city’s parks, such as The River Greenway Trail or nearby Hanna Nuttman Park.
Q: If we want to walk or take our dog for a walk early in the morning, at night or during days or times of year when Cross Creek Golf Course is closed, can we use the cart paths or fairways at these times?
A: No. Cross Creek Golf Club is exclusively for the purpose of playing golf by our paid members or paid guests at all times. Cross Creek Golf Club is not for public recreational use.
